Amarone Classico 2013 DOC Campagnola, 375 ML, 91 Pts W/S

GIUSEPPE CAMPAGNOLA James Suckling Score: 93 Highly rated by Gambero Rosso and Slow Foods. A great value! One of the great wines of Italy, this Amarone is made using the "Passito" method. The grapes are harvested and laid down on racks until January, then they are crushed and fermented into wine. The wine is then aged in oak for one year. The result is a lush full bodied wine. Amarone is only made in the province of Valpolicella in the region of Veneto.
