100% Nero Mascalese grape that gives life to the Etna Rosso DOC. The vineyard sits on the volcano Etna, at an altitude of 650m asl.
We ferment the hand-picked grapes in stainless steel tanks and age them in oak barrique barrels for 6 months. The volcanic soil, rich in minerals, gives the unique flavor to this deep ruby red wine.
The nose perceives notes of berries, spices and vanilla. In the mouth it is smooth, fresh and persistent. Soft tannins lead to a pleasant sapidity.

"Deep Dark" is a beautiful poem by Nino Martoglio. It was published in 1895 with illustrations by his brother Giovanni. The poem is part of the famous book "La Centona," which is dedicated to Luigi Capuana, a well-known Sicilian writer.
The poet Martoglio in this compendium describes the Sicilian "mafia" of the time.
