Syrah / Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 IGT Cataldo Sicily

Grapes: Syrah 60% and Cabernet Sauvignon 40%.

Vineyards: Selected vineyards of north-west Sicily region.

Vinification: Hand-picked selected grapes from vineyards in the northwest part of Sicily. Grapes destemmed, crushed and extraction on the skins conducted with 12 days of maceration at 25C. in stainless steel fermenters.

Characteristics: Ruby red with violet undertones. Bouquet: fine, intense spices notes of pepper, cloves and ripe fig fruit matured. Dry taste rich luscious, soft and full long aftertaste. Clean and full bodied.
Serve at 18C.

Analysis: Alc. vol. 13.5%; Acidity 5.2 g/l; Acidity volatile 0.48 g/l; SO2 total 100 mg/l; Dry extract 32 g/l

Food suggestions: Pasta dishes with meat sauces, boiled, roasted, grilled meats, game, matured hard cheeses.
Cellar: correctly stored may be aged for 5 years.
