HISTORICAL AND TECHNICAL SHEET
Only the best vintages of Selvarossa are marked with the name “Terra“ and bottled in this special bottle designed by Due Palme to capture the excellence of Due Palme. The result of an extreme selection in the vineyards and in the winery and the creation of years of ageing and constant tasting has produced a few bottles for true collectors and wine-lovers.
These ancient Alberello-trained vines of Puglia are hand-harvested carefully into cases producing bunches of grapes in perfect condition from the baked red clay soils.
A part of the harvest is then dried slowly in our cellars to concentrate the flavors and structure. Our Selvarossa “Terra” is then aged in French oak barriques for 12 months before being finished in stainless steel and in bottle.
TASTING NOTES: The wine has an intense garnet red color with a full bouquet of red fruits in particular ripe cherries with hints of vanilla and the special Negroamaro spiciness. On the palate it is beautifully soft with an intensity of flavor and soft tannins. Wonderfully fresh (thanks to the careful work in the cellar) it has a long and satisfying finish. Perfect as a wine of mediation… or of conversation!
GRAPES
Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera.
