Judeka Winery | Sicily
Judeka is an organic and biodynamic winery in Sicily. Judeka uses a system of monitoring water stress on the plant, through the Shoulander system, which allows avoiding waste and inefficiencies with respect to the use of the amount of water necessary for the sustenance of plants.
Judeka is located a few km from Caltagirone, a city famous for centuries for the production of ceramics, as well as, for the beauty of many palaces, churches, bell towers, valuable palaces, and eighteenth-century villas in baroque style.
Caltagirone and the historic center have been awarded the title of World Heritage Site by UNESCO, together with the Val di Noto.
Ciao Daniel selected Judeka at the great wine fair, VinItaly, in Verona.
He was searching for a great Cerasuolo di Vittorio. Cerasuolo di Vittorio is Sicily's DOCG wine that is a blend of Nero d' Avola and Frappato grapes. He met Valentina there and tasted their Caeasuolo di Vittoria and loved it. It was exactly what he was looking for.
Along with friends, Ciao Daniel visited the Judeka winery. It was about an hour's drive from Siracusa. It's a beautiful place to visit and it gives one a better understanding of their wines.
