I gave the six bottle box to my sister and brother in law for their wedding anniversary. I chose this gift with some trepidation for two reasons: 1) I've never tasted it myself; and 2) as my brother in law is a bit of an Italian wine "expert" whose biases tilt toward the Puglia region grapes (his late father was born/raised in Bari, and he himself toured the region on several occasions). As it turned out, my worries were allayed...He loved the wine! As did my sister and their dinner guests. Bottom line, if you can impress my brother in law with an untasted Italian wine, then the Salice Salentino Riserva 2019 is the one to try.
