Cortona Syrah 2020

This is a great drinking wine with great body and taste. We bought the wooden box bottle of 6 and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of wine at a good price.

Great product and great seller

I tried this wonderful Umbrian red in Italy and instantly I knew I needed it at home. Wines from Italy arrived quickly and with safe packaging. Thank you!

Ottimo

I opened my first bottle of wine and the Crisp Flavor transported me home to Fanano Provincia di Modena. In my own opinion it was exquisite ❤️
I loved it so much, I told my son about it and he also ordered some too. I’m looking forward to sharing this “Ottimo” wine with my family and friends.

I didn’t intend on leaving a review as my thoughts are mixed. It wasn’t until I received an email soliciting a review that I decided to share.
First, the good. There’s a lot of it!
What led to my interest in Wines From Italy is the thoughtful videos published for their products. I’m fairly new to Italian wines and I love the information provided. Way to go WFI!
After watching countless videos, I decided to sign up for emails. I’m pleased with the content of the emails and frequency.
After I was satisfied with my research, I placed a sizable order to stock my wine closet. I ordered multiple box sets, and the tour of Italy. I’m not sorry I did! The variety is fantastic and flavors are music to my mouth.
The issue I had was with customer service. The day after I placed my first order I received an email with a $150 coupon for first time purchases. I thought that was odd, but sent a message (vis their website) asking if the coupon could be applied to my order. I didn’t receive a reply, but found a phone number and called with my inquiry. A gentleman answer the phone with a simple, “Hello?” I was confused and thought I might have dialed the wrong number. I asked if I contacted Wines From Italy and he confirmed I had the right number. Interesting.
As I explained the situation, he said he did in fact receive my online inquiry and would apply the coupon to my order. SCORE!!!!!!!
Fast-forward, four boxes were shipped extremely fast. I received my order within a couple of days. Everything was thoughtfully packed, and the artwork on the wooden crates is stunning.
Here comes the mixed feelings.
A few days after receiving my order, I noticed the coupon wasn’t applied, but gave it a couple more days. I ended up leaving another request via their website. It’s been a couple of weeks now, and I’ve yet to hear back or receive the discount.
I was ok with the original cost, but $150 off would have been great. I definitely would have applied that discount to a second order. I don’t know if this would deter me from ordering again, but my experience with customer service was a little off putting.

Wonderful wine!

This little-known and underappreciated grape, tintillia, makes a really beautiful wine. IMHO, this is a medium-bodied wine that is not fruit forward, with complex and pleasing flavors. It pairs well with dishes such as meat and pasta, but really anywhere you would find a medium red to work. I first had this in Molise, the region where this ancient grape is cultivated. It is very hard to find in the US, so many thanks to Wines of Italy for having some available!

The Best

Light, bubbly, just like we had in Bologna. Delicious. Thank you

Great experience!

Outstanding wine, great service, quick delivery! Best packed shipping case I have ever gotten from a wine delivery. So happy to have a provider that sources excellent wines from Italy.

Just a Lovely Wine!!

Lively copper color. Very floral nose. Cherry and lemon blossoms, Macintosh apple, strawberry jam covered biscuits and a dusty minerality. On the palate it’s everything on the nose, full bodied, very fine bubbles, a light tannic grip, medium plus acidity, just off dry, a touch of malo, no sensation alcohol at all.

Exceptional wine

This wine is one of the finest I have ever tasted. I originally tried it while in Italy and have been looking for a US distributor. I am thrilled with not only the wine but the shipping time Rome Wines of Italy. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Delicious!

I really enjoy the Lodi Ave. Old Cellars Zinfandel.

They have some amazing wines! Our favorite is Fina Mamari Sauvignon Blanc. We had this in Sicily and we loved it. Now we can get it here in the US.
Quick shipping, everything arrived in tact and ready to drink!

Exceptional quality

We were quite impressed with the richness of these wines. There isn’t a bad one in the lot. There were some that we liked best and will order them again.

For the price? Fugghetaboutit!

Living in Florida we’re always looking for interesting. White wine to cool us off. Being Sicilian American this was a no-brainer. And for the price, ridiculous.

Enjoyed this Chianti

I really enjoyed this and will gladly buy a few bottles to put in my daily glass, rotation.

Second purchase

Great color and taste. So good I ordered a full case this time.

The White Barolo.

This is the wine to drink with food throughout the warmer months.

Pleasant Surprise

I am a Pinot Noir snob who believes the best are from a cold, damp mountainous region but this was a fabulous find.

Pleasant surprise

My wife and I had tried a Primitivo wine with dinner at a restaurant recently and that we really enjoyed so I went online in search of a nice affordable Primitivo and I landed on Wines from Italy. I selected a Primitivo Reserva from Due Palme and we are very happy with this selection. The price was reasonable and we will be purchasing more wine from Wines of Italy in the near future.

11 %? or higher alcohol content?

Not only am I an organic grape fan, but at my age (77) and living at 8,000 feet, 11% alcohol content for Prosecco is about all I can enjoy; the taste of your was lovely, delicious, actually, and the grapes were organic, but the alcohol I felt right away. Regrets.
