The "Clos degli Amodeo" is dedicated to my two sons Gianmaria and Federico Amodeo, and to our family, "closed" in an endless love for our vineyards and our wildlife in Montalcino. This wine has been produced with a blend of our aristocratic Sangiovese (chosen by Gianmal rial, our elegant Merlot (chosen by myself) and our powerful Cabernet (chosen by Federico). All grapes come from a single vineyard named Clos
Equal parts Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet
Sweet berries and orange peel with some lemongrass on the nose. Medium body with fresh acidity and an earthy, savory finish.
The wine is made by Olga Centolani Peluso. Olga is a Brunello di Montalcino producer and is famous for Brunellos from Pietranera, Friggiali and Donna Olga.
This wine is very full bodied, smooth and velvety, deep in color, with good structure and enough tannins and acid to boost out the flavors and give balance to the wine with red fruits, dark cherries, blackberries and a very long finish.
