This Medallion is a throwback to our days in the Taft Street garage, using unique lots to create easy to drink red blends. This full-bodied release is a combination of Zinfandel and Petite Sirah, with notes of plum and blueberry. Dark chocolate and mocha complement the structured tannins that linger on the palate.
The grapes for this wine come from two of Jim Ledbetter’s Vino Farms vineyards in the Lodi Valley.
The grapes were yeasted and tank fermented at cool temperatures. Multiple daily pump overs allowed for color and flavor extraction. The must was then pressed to barrel for 18 months in a combination of American and French oak.
